Monica Green is an American historian. Green specializes in the history of medicine and on gender history in the medieval West. Green earned the A.B. degree form Barnard College and the PhD from Princeton University with a thesis entitled, “The Transmission of Ancient Theories of Female Physiology and Disease Through the Early Middle Ages.”〔 ==Honors== * Green was awarded the Joseph H. Hazen Education Prize (2014), in recognition of outstanding contributions to the teaching of history of science by the History of Science Society〔 * She is a Fellow, of the Medieval Academy of America (elected 2011) * In 2009 Green was awarded the Margaret W.
